UX DESIGN

With a work history that spans advertising, multimedia production, UI development and corporate education, I have a unique perspective on UX Design. I began my career as a Multimedia Producer for the Air Force’s Basic Training program. I then spent over two years designing curriculum for the Employee Development team at USAA. In 2008, I moved to advertising and developed immersive, interactive experiences for CPS Energy, SeaWorld and other clients spanning the medical, tourism and distilled spirits industries.

After working as Lead UX Developer for an energy startup, I moved to Boulder and am constantly finding ways to grow as UX Design leader. I’ve focused-in on the strategy and research that goes into building great products and enjoy the messy, iterative, convergent/divergent cycles that happen before the ‘real’ thing is built.

As a somewhat recent transplant to the Boulder area, I’ve quickly rooted myself in the design community and lead a monthly UI/UX Meetup that focuses on the UX design process. I’m on the board of advisors for a local app development company and enjoy mentorship and public speaking. In my free time, I’m active in the outdoors with my wife and two three kids.
